Greensburg, IN—An upcoming community fundraising event and blood drive aim to help an 8-year-old Greensburg girl in her battle against cancer.The Jaylynn Strong Blood Drive is from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. July 6 at Rebecca Park, located at 115 N. County Road 80 NE in Greensburg. The event benefits Jaylynn Mozingo, 8, who is fighting leukemia, living with Cerebral Palsy, and a rare brain dysfunction.Jaylynn’s grandmother, Alberta Mozingo stated funds raised in the past have helped Jaylynn’s family pay for reliable transportation to get her to hospital and doctor appointments, a wheelchair ramp for her home and lifts for cars, medical bills and costs associated with her daily continuous care.This will be the third year of the event, which will feature a car show, bake sale, raffles, children’s games, Bingo and live performances by the Dusty Road Band. The event will also feature a blood drive with Versiti. Appointments are encouraged but walk-ins are welcome.
